Before Our Collaboration
Accor Group is no small player in the hospitality world.
With a whopping 5,500 hotels across 110 countries and a legacy dating back to 1967, they’ve built an empire that caters to everyone from luxury seekers to budget-conscious travelers.
Their diverse portfolio includes iconic brands like Sofitel, Fairmont, and Pullman, as well as accessible options like Ibis and Mercure, one of the hotel brands we’ve also worked with.
Accor’s mission has always been to create unforgettable experiences for its guests, combining innovation and creativity with top-notch service. This idea aligns with its commitment to revitalising the space whenever it starts getting stale.
The Problem
In one of their hotel cafes, the Accor Group had to deal with a space that didn’t align with their standards. A gray mural on one of the walls seemed like a good idea at the time, as the picture was visually appealing, but the overwhelming grayness of the space ultimately led to a lack of warmth and energy.
Thus, the hotel staff noticed that the space had outgrown the mural and it was time for a change to something more vibrant.
The wall’s plain appearance failed to complement the vibrant hustle and bustle of the cafe. It was clear that something needed to change to reflect the brand’s dynamic identity.
But here’s the kicker—they wanted a solution that wouldn’t disrupt operations or involve messy, time-consuming renovations.
Repainting or tearing down walls was off the table, as the cafe’s steady flow of customers couldn’t be interrupted. The solution had to be quick, yet impactful.
Perhaps it was a job for an artificial green wall?
During the Process
The Accor hotel team had a clear vision: they wanted a lush, green vibe that would elevate the space without asking the employees to put more work on their plates.
The team had already combed through our green wall collection and found a few contenders that suited the space. After discussing their needs and exploring options, we suggested the White Oasis panels from our range and the team agreed they’re exactly what they need.
The White Oasis panel, in particular, is designed to mimic a real garden’s lushness while being completely hassle-free. It comes with delicate white flowers that break up the green and complement the white ceiling and surrounding decor.
The Solution
The installation went smoothly and the hotel staff had little to do for the project, as it was being handled by a professional team.
The team followed standard procedures, including:
- Prep work: First, we assessed the mural and measured the area to ensure a snug fit. The main challenge was the TV on the wall, which needed to remain functional for advertising purposes.
- Cut and fit: We carefully cut the panels to fit around the TV to ensure an uninterrupted viewing experience. We used staple guns and staples to securely attach the panels to the wall so that they stayed put without damaging the surface underneath.
- Professional touch: While our team handled this project, it’s worth mentioning that these panels are super DIY-friendly. So, if you’re handy with tools, you could install your own artificial vertical garden in no time.
But if you’re short on time or patience, we’re happy to send a team your way – just give us a ring or send us a message.
The entire process was seamless, and the result was a stunning, vibrant artificial living wall that breathed life into the space.
After the Process
The transformation was nothing short of spectacular.
The once-drab gray wall now radiates energy, drawing guests in and creating an Instagram-worthy backdrop.
What’s more, the artificial green wall requires zero watering, pruning, or sunlight. It’s as low-maintenance as it gets—just the way Accor likes it.
Guests have already started raving about the fresh, modern vibe of the cafe, and the staff couldn’t be happier with how easy it is to maintain.
The Accor Group was thrilled with the results, and the cafe’s ambiance now aligns with their high standards.
